Early spring has arrived inside the Sonoma Valley and Northern California.
The principle taste of spring anywhere you live is asparagus. When the principle shoots of asparagus appear, you are able to be assured the ground has thawed and the temperatures are going up, even though each so reasonably.
That’s the third week that asparagus has been at the farm market in Sonoma and San Francisco.
The beginning of spring is to be had in two days on March 21, the day of the vernal equinox. On at the moment, the sun rises directly inside the east and set directly inside the west. The time from crack of dawn to sunset is exactly 12 hours.
Throughout the Northern Hemisphere, the golf green buds on the bushes will open briefly, and the principle robins and songbirds are on their method.
However, March will also be each and every wintery and springlike: cold and blustery someday, refined and sunny the next. Proper right here in Northern California, the temperatures reached 80°F this earlier Saturday. The next day the high inside the Sonoma Valley is predicted to hit the mid-60°s.
