Defining heirlooms and hybrids:
Heirloom vegetables. An heirloom vegetable is any open-pollinated variety it is a minimal of fifty years earlier. Heirlooms have no longer been hybridized and so may not have the sickness resistance of enormous regional adaptability that hybrids maximum steadily have.
